Penny has a track record of combining her relationship skills, with her technical and business experience, to provide creative, holistic solutions for clients.

 

The entrepreneurial gene runs in her family so, after years with large firms, Penny launched a boutique tax firm for successful individuals and families. After almost 20 years of business success, Penny sold her firm to focus on where she could make the most impact, consulting with families.  By building an honest rapport she helps clients align their family and financial values, collaborating with the whole family office team to develop practical paths that will achieve clients’ objectives.

  

Penny is passionate about serving the community and leveraging her strengths to find creative solutions for not-for-profit and charitable organizations. She founded the Accomplished Angels Fund, which provides scholarships for post-secondary education to pregnant and parenting teens. Penny is a Past President and remains an active member of the Rotary Club of Calgary at Stampede Park.  She is a past Chair of the Alberta Business Family Institute. Penny’s community service, combined with her technical expertise, positions her well for community investment conversations with clients as part of their overall planning.

 

On a good day, depending on the season, you will either find Penny riding her horse with friends on a backcountry trail, or delivering and sweeping curling rocks with her team at the curling rink. On a great day, you will find Penny on a pontoon boat, at Sylvan Lake, Alberta, with her husband, Darren, planning their next travel adventure.
